About Us

Wayne County Fair & Horse Show, Inc. is a non-profit Kentucky corporation. The Fair Board is made up of a group of volunteers who freely give hours of their time to plan and organize the many fun and exciting activities that make up the Wayne County Fair & Horse Show. The board is supported in their efforts by the Wayne County Extension Service and the Kentucky State Fair and Horse Show. Each member of the board offers their expertise, effort, and experience to the group in order to continue to provide family-oriented activities and competitions for the people of Wayne County. The Fair Board leases the Monticello-Wayne County Memorial Park during the week of fair events. We would like to thank the staff of the Park, as well as Judge/Executive Scott Gehring, the Wayne County Fiscal Court, Mayor Kenny Catron, and the Monticello City Council, for their many hours of assistance and their quality facility in order to bring these fun events to the community. We also greatly appreciate our local volunteer firefighters for their work and assistance to put on a safe and extremely high quality fireworks display each year!

The Wayne County Fair and Horse Show is planned and conducted according to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture regulations for the use of state funds. Open classes are open to all exhibitors unless otherwise specified. Entries made in 4-H classes must have been produced in conjunction with an approved 4-H project.
